Job Description:
1. You will participate in a 24/7 working schedule and on-call rotation.
2. Will be a member of a triaging team, responsible for triaging incoming and open tickets/requests
3. You will administer support tickets according to established guidelines, standards, and procedures.
4. You will be responsible for proactive and reactive incident response as a result of infrastructure, network, system, or service issues
5. Will collaborate with other teams to contribute to and implement solutions to support vision and strategy.
6. You will create, update and maintain documentation, guides, tips and procedures
7. Will keep critical local engineering IT systems available to an agreed schedule which may involve weekend and/or out of hours work
8. You will monitor system capacity – storage, memory, and CPU. Test, install and report status of patches and hotfixes.
Candidate Profile:
Qualification: You have a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering (Computer Science Preferred )
Experience: You have at least 1 year of experience
Skills:
1. You have working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle process
2. You have working knowledge of programming constructs, data structures and algorithms
3. Have good comprehension of operating systems and computer networking
4. You have experience with one or more scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell
5. Have Knowledge of the SRE principles focused on improving the reliability of services
6. You have working knowledge of public cloud providers - Microsoft Azure/Amazon AWS/Google Cloud
7. Have experience with managing private cloud environments such as OpenStack
8. You have a general knowledge of IT technologies.
9. Have experience with Windows and Linux distros (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, etc)
