Role & responsibilities
Cloudnine Hospital is hiring for Executive / Senior Executive Nurse for Ward/NICU/PICU/OT Nurse/ OT Technician/ Triage/LDR/Nurse In-charge
Position Responsibilities:
Senior Executive Registered Nurse provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. In addition to basic nursing care, responsibilities of Specialist Nursing Care include (but are not limited to):
Daily Activities:
Provides age and culturally appropriate care to patient.
Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans and helps the Junior and Senior Nurse Executive in implementing it.
Takes handover from the outgoing staff based on the allotment of patients.
Updates dashboard in the absence of the Lead Nurse Specialist.
Takes inventory of the area instruments and articles as per the responsibility allotted by the Lead Nurse Specialist.
Allots Nurse- patient ratio and daily inventory responsibility for the shift in the absence of the Lead Nurse Specialist.
Reports to the Lead Nurse Specialist/ Asst. Manager Nursing Care problem faced in caring and safety of the patients.
Mentors Junior and Senior Nurse Executive in correlating the disease condition and reports untoward changes.
Monitors and adjusts specialized and routine biomedical equipments used for the care of the patients.
Takes responsibility in maintaining the equipments to the best of usage and reports to higher authority if breakdown happens in the presence as well as absence of the Lead Nurse Specialist.
Prepares, administers and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments as per hospital policy (High risk High Alert /LASA medication, Narcotic Policy and Verbal order policy).
Assists treating consultant during examination, treatment and procedures, which can include life-saving situations.
Analyzes lab results and reports as required to the concerned authority for faster treatment.
Supervises the Junior and Senior Nurse Executive in all the patient related activities for the smooth functioning of the unit.
Performs life saving measures as and when required.
Supervises supply of sterile equipments from CSSD.
Supervises waste disposal of the floor as per Infection Control Policy.
Acts as a Shift Incharge in the absence of the department Lead Nurse Specialist and reports to Asst. Manager Nursing Care.
Provides education, information and emotional support to the patientâ??s family and caregivers based on the disease condition.
Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms as per the protocol of the hospital.
Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting as described by the reporting authority and line of control in the hospital.
Attend the CNE activities conducted in house and out house as per the job requirement and specifications.
Weekly activities:
Maintains cleanliness of the unit in an orderly manner.
Collects store indents in the absence of Lead Nurse Specialist.
Initiate scrubbing and fumigation of the room in case of notifiable disease.
Attend Continued Nursing Education conducted in house and out house as per the job requirement and specifications.
Monthly activities:
Checks for near expiry medications and replenish it with new stock.
Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting as described by the reporting authority and line of control in the hospital.
Depending on setting, may also:
Float among various clinical services, where qualified and competent.
Other Responsibilities:
Completes required orientation as directed by facility
Follows Cloud Nine safety rules and procedures while on assignment.
Follows Cloud Nine Codes for Unusual Occurrence Protocol.
Respects cultural and religious practices of patients.
Upholds Hospital Infection Control regulations
Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts
