Position: Structural Engineer AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Inventor
Industry: Power Generation
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Inventor to design, develop, and optimize structural layouts for a power generation unit. The role involves creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective designs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage structural layouts using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Autodesk Inventor for power generation facilities (Heat recovery steam generator).
Design and detail foundations, steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, and platforms.
Perform structural analysis and load calculations to validate designs.
Prepare construction drawings, fabrication details, and material specifications.
Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (ASME, JIS, IS codes, etc.).
Conduct design reviews, clash detection, and model validation.
Support project execution by providing technical guidance during construction and installation.
Maintain documentation and ensure quality assurance throughout the design lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelorâ??s degree in mechanical/civil Structural Engineering
Masterâ??s degree preferably ME/MS in Structural Engineering
7 to 10 Yrs of experience in structural engineering for industrial/power projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD Structural Detailing
Strong knowledge of structural design codes and engineering standards.
Experience in power generation plants, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, and piping drawings.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
